NCICL's Jason Kay to Join Speaker’s Office:
Kay to serve in new General Counsel role 
RALEIGH, JANUARY 5, 2011House Speaker-Designate, Rep. Thom Tillis (R-Mecklenburg) announced that he has chosen NCICL Senior Staff Attorney Jason Kay to serve as General Counsel in his new administration. Tillis announced several members of his new team in a press statement issued late Tuesday afternoon. The General Assembly will reconvene on Wednesday, January 26th. 
"While we're certainly sorry to see Jason leave ICL, this is a great opportunity for him,” said NCICL Executive Director and Chief Counsel Justice Robert F. Orr. “He's done an outstanding job here and I am confident that he will do a superb job as General Counsel to Speaker Tillis.”
Founded in 2003, the Raleigh-based NCICL is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, non-partisan organization devoted to educating the public, bar, and policymakers about constitutional issues, particularly economic and related issues, both national and in North Carolina and, when appropriate, litigating such constitutional issues.
