“Come on, rewriting the NC tax code to benefit a single corporate entity at a time when the state's coffers are empty? On the other hand, if jobs are going at roughly $500,000 per job per year as would be indicated by this legislation, and I created 2 jobs this past year, it would seem that the State owes me roughly $1,000,000 this year or $10,000,000 over the next 10 years. I will give them a huge break. For the paltry sum of $250,000 I will close shop, move out west where my kids are and NC will never be bothered by me again.” ~Frustrated North Carolina resident regarding the new Apple tax legislation, Senate Bill 575
